We have this bed in the month of September for our then 2 ½ years daughter. She loves him and she is still sleeping (even) times 3 March. And 'quite robust and fits into a standard crib mattress. We have no problem with it, and my husband for an hour or so to assemble. This is a favorite rose, and anyone approaching comments. Our daughter loves princess sleep in his bed. A word of caution: it is still quite small (30 pounds). I believe that children are more disposedthis bed quickly, but that is the case of a cot. I really do not know what the bad reviews if you stay under the limit of 50 pounds, stability is not a problem at all.
